Either they follow me, or you can't seem to get away from meeting Norwegians wherever you go.
I was on camping trip in Dorchester last weekend, went into the local beer tent and low an behold, there were 3 drunk Norwegians there!
(taking advantage of the cheap booze)
They also came from Oslo, so we got chatting and I told them that I used to live in Ski and Kolbotn and they were surprised to find a "son of Norway" at the same place.
Was good to talk about our views on Norway and my experience being an immigrant for a while.
It seems like, if I can't go to Norway, Norway comes to me!

Just found your website and this blog about Norway. Really interesting to read about Norway from an English point of view. :-) I am Norwegian and live in England
(3 years I've been here now) - and my boyfriend is English. We are going to move to Norway eventually, I just have to finish my university degree first. I really miss Norway! Norway is not always cold, but this summer I worked in the north of Norway for three months and it was around 14 degrees most of the time. Oslo is warmer in the summer though.
Since I moved to England I:
- eat more out/ eat take-aways
- drink more wine
- gained some weight
- drink tea daily
- am more aware of health & safety
- eat sandwiches, not brodskive
- eat more white bread
- don't take notice of when I have my first "utepils" of the year (first beer outside)
- think Norway is expensive
God jul!
